What does ArchDomus Home Design do?
We're a residential design studio in Shelton, Connecticut. We prepare construction and permit drawings for new homes, additions, renovations, ADUs, finished basements, decks, outdoor kitchens and kitchen renovations, with 3D renderings so you see the design before it's built.
Which towns do you serve?
We work throughout Fairfield County, including Fairfield, Westport, Greenwich, Stamford, Norwalk, Darien, New Canaan, Trumbull, Shelton and Danbury, as well as Milford and towns across all of Connecticut.
How much do permit drawings cost in Connecticut?
Every project is priced on its own — type, size, site and what your town requires. Send the details through our Fee Estimate form and we'll email your price in 1–2 business days, free and with no commitment.
How long does it take to get drawings and a building permit?
Most drawing sets are finished 4 to 8 weeks after our first conversation — decks and finished basements are quicker, new homes take longer. Town review time after that varies from town to town. You get a schedule with your estimate.
Do I need a property survey?
For new homes, additions, ADUs and most exterior work, towns usually require a survey showing property lines and setbacks. Interior renovations often don't need one. Not sure? Tell us about the project and we'll let you know.
Do you help with the permit submission?
Yes. We prepare permit-ready drawing sets, support the submission to your town's building department and handle revisions if reviewers send comments.
Can you work with my builder, or recommend one?
Yes. We coordinate directly with your contractor so the drawings match how the home will be built. If you don't have a builder yet, we can recommend builders we've worked with.
Can I see my design before it's built?
Yes. We render exteriors and interiors in 3D, so you can change materials, layouts and details before anything is built.
